Taboo

BlueBolt's VFX brief for Taboo was to create a vision of London and its docks as it would have appeared in the early 19th century. BlueBolt’s work was recognised with nominations for both Emmy and VES Awards for episode one of the BBC/ Scott Free/ Hardy Son & Baker series.

The BlueBolt team delivered more than 550 shots, building digital backdrops around the set build in Tilbury on the river Thames and populating it and the London docks with CG sailing ships.

Set in London in 1814 as the war with the United States nears an end, James Delaney (Tom Hardy) returns to England after twelve years in Africa, carrying fourteen stolen diamonds.
