The Great Season 2

BlueBolt was the lead VFX studio for Hulu’s second season of the satirical comedy-drama loosely based on the story of Catherine the Great, Empress of all Russia. Set in 18th-century Russia, The Great required substantial VFX work to transform the environment, including large set extensions, greenscreen comps and CG builds. BlueBolt created muzzle flashes, blood additions and blade extensions for scenes of conflict, as well as crowd duplications, production fixes and creature work on CG butterflies.
